I doubt the majority's motive for independence is Braveheart.

My motive for independence is to break away from a government that rules over us when we have our own in Scotland. It would give us more powers in our own country and will allow us to get rid of the bedroom tax. Wherever your research about people wanting to go independent because of Braveheart is clearly a joke and I'm 17 as well.

I'm 16, voting for independence and have never watched all of Braveheart. What annoys me is 17 year olds who are voting to stay in the union and have no good reason why...

F*CK THE UNION!!!

I don't personally know why Scotland would would want to be separated from the rest of the UK. However, if the. Amorites do not want to be a part of the UK then I would happily leave them to it ..

I wouldn't want a civil war like the one in Ireland to happen though

There's many reasons. To have full power over our own country instead of relying on utter wanks like David Cameron to call the shots. To be recognised as what we truly are instead of being part of some union which makes sure that England has the power. There is also more on top of these.

LOL you legend, couldn't have said it better myself.

My reason for voting independence is pretty much what he said. Nothing against England, just don't think they should be calling the shots; and I do think David Cameron is an utter wank. lol

And to the OP - Your little mates want independence because they watched Braveheart that does NOT apply to your "entire nation" LMAO that is ridiculous.

Yes, I agree; Cameron is a bit of a 'w**k' isn't he. But I personally feel that it's not the UK without Scotland. As an English citizen, it personally wouldn't affect me if the Scots did in fact leave us, but It wouldn't feel like the UK to me any more - connected by landmass and separated by governments. Of course it's up to the voters and I respect the decision of everybody

Ohdear..

What you wee scotsmen seem to forget is ,It wasnt so long ago that the whole of the UK was being run by a Scotsman (Gordon Brown) and didnt he do well (NOT!).
It's because of a Scotsman that we (the whole of the uk) are in so much debt.

Scotland will be sorry when they get no support from Britain, I'm Scottish and my whole family think independence is stupid, luckily we live in Britain though.
