It's only $6... not exactly a lot to worry about "wasting" but yes. Certainly is worth it if you are active enough to make the most of it

One last question when i go to buy it it says $5.97 per month does this mean it will take it out automatically each month and if so how can i change it to only pay for it once?

it will set up a monthly subscription, which you can keep or cancel so you only have one month of gold.

Is it worth $5.97? absolutely, If you are even semi active and get on every other day or twice a week then it is worth it but if you barely get on and if you have doubt you will use the features then you probably shouldn't purchase it.
