Lavish wrote In reality, I think you rather spend 2 extra hours a day than take a week out of your summer vacation.

I would say a week more. Because you would have less time to do your leisure activities and also you would be tired out by the end of the day.

This honestly sounds like a terrible idea. I definitely feel bad for you, I'd hate to attend your school. Going to school for an extra week seems much more logical. At my school, we make up 5 snow days. After that, any more snow days that we have are just days off. 2 days were taken off of our Spring Break, 3 days were added to the end of the year, and the rest of our snow days don't matter.

It isn't really that extreme, though. Where I go to school, my classes are 1 hour 30 mins each, and that's something you get used to. Also, It's better for them to extend the periods, since it's more convenient for everyone and then you don't have to go to school when you're supposed to be on break (spring break/summer break). Don't know if you understand what I'm saying, but just try to relax and it'll go by fast. That's my take on it.

Where I am, they just took days off of our spring break. =/
What about school sports, doesn't that affect the athletes in your school? or are athletics not really major there?

The school I go to has long breaks for Christmas, Easter, etc. So we're going to have to make up 2 days during our Easter break.

Wow, that's stupid. My school just adds on days to the end of the year.
