Dutes wrote i see what is the budget that you have i can edit the build you have and try to stay under, also if you are willing to try and build yourself you can get much better value for your money

I did actually price up all the components separately and it comes to basically around the same price, windows 8 is basically what makes it shoot up, my budget is really around that price like I said I don't really want to spend more than that as I want to get into pc first, I've only really played the odd pc games on my current pc (x2 Athlon) and new games tend to lag so I want to basically switch to like id play my xbox one, but as I said I'm jumping in at the deap end for only a beta test lol :p

Don't get a 4770k, most games won't use the hyperthreading capabilities. Save some money and get a 4670k instead.

Literally changed the case, motherboard, processor and cooler i believe. Its cheaper and will get the same performance in games. You'd only benefit from the i7 if could utilise the extra threads Hyper Threading offers. Even the cooler on this screenshot is overkill as the i5 will stay reasonably cool with its stock cooler.

But as games release they will use it eventually and it's like buying another CPU just for that extra like 40 better safe than sorry :p

Hmm, this is what's bugging me as to is it worth paying the extra for a newer CPU for more long term benefit but then again the saving there is a lot of games on steam

i5 4570, 4670, 4670k (and others)
i7 4770, 4771, 4770k (and others)

they are all part of the current 4th generation of Intel Haswell processors. So none of the above, nor any with a "4" as the first number of the model is any older than one of the above. You wouldn't be cheating yourself out of a newer processor by getting an i5 over an i7. You're talking about a quad core, or a quad core with HT capabilities. If you can afford then i7 or just want it, then get it but it honestly wont do much for you. If you want an i5 then think in a year its crap then the i7 uses the same socket so drop one of those in, in the future.
