Well for one, the PS4 doesn't look like a VCR box from the '90s
But honestly, the PS4 is great, no problems so far. And the controller is hands down the best controller I've ever used in my gaming life. I would highly suggest it.
I personally don't like the Xbox one. Especially because of its UI (Dashboard)
If i were you, i would get a PS4

Ps4 for the win i have both consoles and i prefer the ps4

the Xbox one has better exclusive games and it comes with much more than the PS4 does and offers more than the PS4..The Xbox one is a top of the line gaming device, a device that can be used for live tv, an all in one entertainment and media center, and it comes with the kinect)..so honestly the Xbox being $100 more is more than justified

Also the Xbox one has the better controller (almost everyone would agree that microsofts controllers have been much better than Sonys controllers

the PS4 is slightly more powerful but it wont be enough to tell (sony fanboys will tell you its wayy more powerful and better) but that simply isnt true

all that being said, i believe that BOTH are very good consoles, it just comes down to your personal preference based on the features each offer and the games each offer

I personally have only had the xbox one but I would say it is well worth the money. I have friends that have sold their PS4 to get the xbox one and they say it is a lot better. However GHOSTS only runs in 720 on Xbox one compared to the 1080 of a ps4.

But I would still go for the Xbox one very stable no problems with it.
