You can use either a Nand-X OR a J-R Programmer, it is your choice. You can use a coolrunner to RGH the dashboard you're on. You need to know what motherboard you have first of all. I suggest doing some research before going ahead with this.

Xenon consoles can only be RGH'd for DVD key retrieval so no point in RGHing it. Zephyr consoles CAN be RGHed but 50% of the time they fail due to stress so I wouldn't recommend RGHing a Zephyr. I would suggest selling both of these consoles and using the money you make to buy a better mobo.

I'm not positive about the R-JTAG exploit, although as far as I am aware, you can NOT R-JTAG a xenon, only HDMI consoles can have R-JTAG exploit done. I'm pretty sure that Zephyr's have HDMI and can have the R-JTAG exploit done to them. I would double check with someone else though because I am not very clued up on the R-JTAG exploit or Zephyr consoles. My advice is, install R-JTAG exploit to your Zephyr.

Okay, well there's not much you can do with a xenon console other than the original JTAG exploit which you wont be able to do on that dash. If you have the tools and know what you're doing, I would suggest flashing the DVD drive on your xenon and maybe doing some more mods(custom leds, whisper fans, sonus 360) and then sell it as a flashed retail, you will get more money this way but I doubt you will make too much profit. If you're keeping these consoles for yourself, it would be good to have the xenon done like this so you can still connect to XBL but have your console modified. With the Zephyr, I would just go ahead and R-JTAG it, I've seen on other forums that Zephyr's can have the R-JTAG exploit done and work pretty well. If you're selling these consoles, good luck, people don't tend to look for mobo's before the Falcon. Most people that purchase console want a Falcon, Jasper or a Slim console. Good luck though man!

I've just had a quick flick through other forums to see info on Zephyr R-JTAG consoles. So Zephyr consoles CAN have the R-JTAG exploit done AND RGH exploit(which I knew), however the success rate on Zephyr RGH consoles is only 40-50% so it's likely if you try to RGH your Zephyr, your motherboard will fail due to stress. If you don't mind risking this go ahead. Although, I found some more info on R-JTAG'ing Zephyr's. R-JTAG Zephyr's have a MUCH higher success rate than RGH Zephyr's and the average boot time for a Zephyr R-JTAG is insta-boot to 15 seconds which is a good boot time IMO.

If it was me, I'd be looking for a better motherboard but it depends what you're doing with these consoles. Will you be selling or keeping the consoles for yourself?
