I see this EVERYDAY working at a grocery store. Honestly these people make me sick, these people who collect and have entire 5 inch binders filled with coupons. I understand that you wish to save as much money as you can and that's cool but I feel like there should be a limit. There have been multiple occasions were the store has had to pay customers who spend over 250 dollars, we have had to give them like 20 bucks, so they actually got paid to shop at our grocery store...like really? You have 300+ coupons on .19 cents off cheese like is that .19 cents really going to matter. It holds up lines and takes away from the workers, its not fair that you can have one cashier have to stand there for 1 hour with ONE customer because they have 500 dollars worth of food but they want to use there freaking coupons on it. Like im not saying that coupons are bad, obviously they aren't but I feel like there should be a limit. Also the people that use all these coupons are also usually the people that buy 50 jars of peanut butter JUST because they are on sale and there's a coupon on them...that's taking away from average people who want to buy peanut butter but now cant till we get our next delivery because you want to be greedy and buy all our peanut butter which will probably expire before you get to use it all..

I don't see a problem with it unless they already have the coupons ready in there hand.

I know where you are coming from though.

I completely disagree, in the current financial climate anything anyone can do to save money is worth doing. Why does it matter if it takes the cashier a while to do it, they still get paid and they get an easy time. If you're in the queue then there are other lines. I think it's good and heck if it saves money then props to them.

In most supermarkets in England, the vouchers/coupons can not be used at the same time, which definitely helps cut cue times

It is actually really smart to coupon. Think about how much money people save on their normal 200-300 dollar groceries. With the economy being complete crap right now, people need to be saving as much money as they can.

Wouldn't you love to pay 5 bucks for groceries that cost you $200+?

You cannot blame someone for doing what it takes to save money.

I agree with the holding up the queue point, but I wouldn't hesitate to hold up a queue if I got that much money off my shopping.

Um... Yeah I don't see the problem times are tough right now and people can't always afford to pay retail price. they make coupons for a reason you know just because you like to pay full retail price on something don't mean everyone else does too

Edit: well since this is a down post I MUST be incorrect I'm so sorry EVERYONE LOVES to pay full price on EVERYTHING times aren't tough or anything like that noooo what was I thinking gosh I'm so happy you disagree because your probably rich

I have an immense amount of respect for these people. They didn't even need to find a loophole, they're beating the system.
