I personally don't think it really matters at all. Shoes are shoes, I don't need to know all the history behind them in order to weat them.

This makes me a little mad also.

Maybe they like how they look or feel? It's their choice if they want to drop $130 on a pair of KD 6. Just a pair of shoes. If they like them, so be it.
