How long does it take to boot? is there any way of making it boot faster?

As I said jtags boot instantly like a retail
The delayed boot times are with RGH (retail GLITCH hack)

Since its a glitch with rgh they sometimes take a while to boot

A slow boot is not the sign of a jtag but rather a bad console.

In all honesty Xenons arent the best console out there. If it is for you, then jtag it, it will no longer be able to go on xbox live, but it will be fun.

If it is flashed you may still go on live and play burnt games. but no super fun mods or emulators like with jtags.

I have another console which I use for going on live etc, that is my main console (Xbox 360 slim) I'm very tempted to JTAG the xenon that I picked up recently, for very cheap I might add :O it also has a built in cooling system, I believe it has 2 fans if I remember correctly.

I only bought it because I wanted the blade dashboard lol, if I JTAG it will it more than likely be a slow boot? also are there and downsides to Jtagging such as overheating, console not booting, blowing chips etc?

So Xenons aren't the best consoles for Jtagging but will boot instantly?

Why RGH it? JTAG is better

JTAG will boot instantly yes and if you like the look of that dash im sure theres a theme for FSD which is like the old style dashboard

I'm not planning on doing anything right now I'm just getting information from people who actually on JTAG/RGH consoles

I would JTAG it since it sounds better and safer than doing the RGH

Jtagging a console can lead to some problems only if you don't know what you are doing.
Since you now have access to everything microsoft didnt want you to have access to you can mess with/ tweak things that may cause your console to die.

Be careful

Have you ever jtagged a console before?

And xenons are just not good motherboards/consoles

They were the first xbox 360 so they tend to overheat and since they are older and you are buying used you dont know its past history and what fixes have been done/ have been attempted.

There is an entire post (in the stickies) on jtags and advantages/ disadvantages.

I would read up on it before buying a jtag

I would also not recommend doing it youself (just from what you are saying)

It seems like you have no experience with this kind of stuff. Experience and a steady hand is key.

Read up and practice before touching an iron to any part. Please.

I've never jtagged a console before or modded a console in any way except with usb etc, I actually operate in the field of IT so I think I would be able to handle jtagging a console especially if I follow a video of someone else doing it. I may just leave the console at it is or sell it to someone with experience, someone offered to buy it as soon as I made this post haha

I don't know it's past history as of right now I will have to look back at where I bought it as I remember there being some details on there. My best bet may just be buying a console that has already been jtagged

Thank you for all of your input!

I will check out the stickies and a video of someone actually jtagging a console before I do anything
