So the video shown above is being debated a lot. What happened was Wes Welker and Aqib Talib collided (may have been on purpose or not), but Talib ended up being injured from this play and could not continue the game. Talib is the Patriots best corner back and after he was out Peyton Manning's completion percentage rose almost 20%.

Now where it gets good... Many of the Patriots players believe that Wes Welker was trying to hurt Talib. Bill Belichick called it the dirtiest play he has seen. I personally do not believe it was intended to hurt Talib. What do you think?

I personally believe Belichick is just upset at the fact the Welker (once Brady's best WR) was the one that caused the injury, and is just still mad that Welker left and the Broncos got the win

1. Welker was looking at him for about 8-10 yards before contact.
2. Talib was doing his job hunting down the ball.

I believe it was a designed pick play that just went wrong.

Welker just didn't set a proper pick for Thomas and hit Talib harder than he expected.

It wasn't on purpose. Welker isn't that kind of player.

I agree... I believe that Belichick is still angry about the whole situation and the fact that his team lost.

It was just a pick play. Im pretty sure he had no intention to hurt him.

I don't think that Welker intentionally injured Talib, but there's no question he was trying to give Thomas separation on the play by picking Talib, which is illegal. Welker didn't even try to get open, that's about as obvious as can be.

After Playing football for a few years a a ROLB ive seen many things. What Wes Walker did was intentional. One thing i have learned is a wide receiver doesn't Watch a CB that isn't even covering him. Almost 9/10 the Reciever and CB are both watching the QB, But Wes Walker was not He was looking Dead at Talib, and Wes even lowered his shoulder, and braced for the impact. Which ive been in a few collisions and typically no ones prepared for it and it usually happens in the blind spot of all players. What happened here was a desperate move to either make a big play, or get a big player out of the game. It was no accident, and it is being ivestigated by the nfl. Even though i hate the patriots, got to go with them on this. This play was low, and was the epitomy of poor sportsmanship

It's just football stuff happens. Welker looked at him for a while before contact was made but. The Broncos are still going to the playoffs no matter what. Good game, we just lost a star player.
