whenever i press on my career it show the screen saying my career starring a bunch of * instead of my name

is there anything i can do to fix this or do i have to wait it out

Try re-installing the game. I had a issue with my player as well and this fixed it for me.

If that doesn't work, I'm guessing your save is corrupted.
