Did I find the craigslist ad you're buying from?

If it is, the $1300 he has listed is hardly under retail.
So you could almost buy the same parts yourself and have a brand new computer rather than buying a used one.

You would need to talk him down nearly $100-$200 to make it worth it.

That would be a good price if you were buying the computer brand new, but you're not.
