My technology class(high school) has a whopping two students in it and we usually sit around doing nothing, so this semester my teacher bought two raspberry pis and wants us to make a presentation detailing what we want to accomplish with them this 9 weeks. I am at a complete loss for ideas as to what I should do with the pi. My project could and probably should include some programming, however, the only extra hardware I have is a wifi dongle; I have no buttons, leds etc... Although, I could buy a few extra materials at Radio Shack if it's necessary. I have read over many sites that list raspberry pi projects but none of the projects have caught my eye. I would greatly appreciate any ideas that you guys may have.

Thanks.

I'd say make something that lights up leds based off number combinations in a text file
Ex:

1 2 3 4 5
1 3 5
2 4 3 1

and it can loop those over and over to create a design.

Buy a breadboard and some LEDS, Just like Z61 said. Consider looking on the RPi forum and google some projects.

The possibilities with the RPi are endless. Take a look at the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Site. Good tutorials that will give you a start or some motivation/inspiration to start a project.
