Xbox_One wrote Everybody that is going for this man, Let me ask you this. Would you be totally calm in a situation like this? NO, do even try to say yes. If you see a stranger in public with a large gun like this you will have some concern as well. Im 100% for gun rights but like this, no I am not. If you want a gun on you, keep it concealed (with a concealed license) and not out for everyone to see.

Granted, but the problem here is, even after the police knew that he wasn't a threat, he was charged which doesn't make any sense.
Also, I don't know why you downvoted my post, I said people had the right to be scared in this situation.

This is showing the enforcement being corrupt.

Yesterday I placed my shotgun on the front porch, gave it six shells, and noticing it had no legs, placed it in a wheelchair to help it get around. I left it alone and went about my business.

While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the boy across the street picked up my yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near my house.

After 10 hours, I checked on the shotgun. It was still sitting in the wheelchair. It had not rolled outside and It had not killed anyone in spite of many opportunities that had been presented. It had not even loaded itself.

Can you imagine how surprised I was with all the hype about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people? Either the media is wrong and the killing is by people misusing guns or I'm in possession of the laziest gun in the world. So now I'm off to check on my spoons, because I hear they make people fat.

Donald K. Martin, Windsor Locks

The man had a bag of food and a drink in his hands, gun most likely not loaded and around his back pointing down. He owns a GameStop, I still don't understand why people would be afraid of it. I would honestly walk up to him and have a conversation with him.

Clearly, he did not commit any crimes and was unfairly charged, but, to be honest, I'd be pretty damn scared/nervous standing around a guy with an assault rifle on his back as well. Especially nowadays with all of these crazy, surprise shootings.

Technically this is legal, BUT the mall probably had a "no gun on premises" law making this "illegal".

I simply devoted your post because I did not agree with the first statement in it. I don't devote people post just because. I always have a reason for my actions. I can understand where you are coming from with the charges in all, but what if everybody decided to start carrying AR-15's around public places? Then it would ABSOLUTELY unsafe to go out in public. I want to enjoy going out and shopping/eating without have to worry if someone with a gun is going to open fire. If people don't see guns, they don't always worry.

I say it's fair for the shoppers in the mall to be scared but charging him with a crime is plain dumb.

USN wrote What I don't understand is why people are so terrified of guns. They worry more about guns than what our Government does or what's happening around the world.

This man did nothing wrong, but he got charged for a crime?
I know what your saying, people shouldn't be afraid of guns, guns don't kill people, people kill people, clearly this guy had no intention to kill...
