Ok, I've posted here a lot about my build but I was double checking my parts before buying and I found that my 760 only was going to do 1fps better on BF4 Ultra 1920x1080 2xMSAA. Anyway should I get the 270x or the 760 which will keep quieter and which one will preform better in certain games?

PLEASE REPLY @270x and NVIDIA_GeForce because they might know what to do since his name is the GPU I might pick.....lol

This is adorable. Just non-creative product/company fanboys at work.

Anyways, I think the 760 is the better option, as the R9 270X is just a rebranded 7870, which I would not compare to a 660 Ti...

You could be potentially labeled as a Micheal Bay fanboy with your username. I wouldn't even consider myself a fanboy, I prefer AMD products as well.

The GTX 760 is faster than an R9 270x. But it's a tad par, but only a bit faster. In some instances, the R9 270x has also beat the GTX 760 in some gaming benchmarks as well. Here's a much more detailed comparison behind the cards. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

I am not good with this type of stuff but I heard that the 270x get hot REALLY FAST and is REAlLY loud.. Mostly when you overclock. If you plan on overclocking just a heads up.

You might think it won't bother you but I bet it will. I can't seem to find the video that they talk about it.

That isn't the OC video.

With the stock ATI fan and design, the 270, 270x, 280x, 290 and the 290x are all loud and get quite hot.

With the case of the 270x, there are lots of other great options.
That's why people buy the Asus or HAWK version, because they are quieter and cool the card better.

Just waiting for a better cooler on the 290 and 290x now.

The reference coolers are always loud, so what Stedos said is correct.

OP: The 760 out performs the 270X in almost every game/test, so if you want the extra few FPS, get that. But remember, better FPS is all good and that, but if you get a 760 with a rubbish cooler, you won't be overclocking it, and it may get very hot. So what I'd do in your situation and what i did personally, is pick up a 270X with a nice cooler design. You can pick up a 270X HAWK for around 15 pounds cheaper than the reference 760. You's have to be stupid not to pick that up. The HAWK is the best variant of the 270X due to the Unlocked core, better VRM design, better Phase design and a Custom PCB. Also not forgetting that masterpiece of a backplate. Get one while you can. Mantle will be out in the near future, so that should boost the 270X's performance in mantle enabled games (Battlefield 4), and most probably will play smoother than a 760...

I love my R9 270X. I have the vapour X version* and it doesn't get hot at all. It is also silent for that matter.
But I have been able to play every game I have on ultra. Including Skyrim, Payday 2, Hitman Absolution, Saints Row IV, GTA IV and Bioshock Infinite. To name a few.

* Craigyy, stop thinking EWWWW because it's a vapour X
