BigWes wrote Not another rant about Phil Robertson. The only reason why he was suspended from "duck Dynasty" is because he violated A&E's contract. He was not supposed to express his religious beliefs, so everyone get off this case, arguing and ranting won't help him regain his spot on the show.

- Comparing this to twerking on tv is ludicrous.
Twerking = No contract to abide by, maybe the law and millions of people but no contract.
Religious Beliefs(A&E) = contract to abide by, no religious beliefs.

Again I don't watch duck dynasty, however my friends are ranting about it. From what they have said the majority of the show is based off their religion, and at the end of the show they all sit down and pray... seems like the problem didn't come out till gay marriage was brought up.

Being gay is not okay, and thats my opinion just like gays want people to accept them they need to accept the fact that not all people approve. Gay was not the way the world was meant to be its abnormal. There is nothing ok for lusting after a mans bootyhole. I find it offensive that gays seem to feel comfy acting like females in front of small male children.

As I've said before, they were not aloud to express their religious beliefs. Saying prayer at the dinner table was an exception according to A&E (Obviously), but when a cast member (This happened to be Phil) starts comparing different types of people while referencing the bible, when it's against the contract, he will be punished for it.

Twerking is a type of pole dance, that really shouldn't be on TV.

The man from Duck Dynasty is religious and he was expressing what the bible said.. I don't understand..

-Snowflake wrote Although I don't watch duck dynasty, my friends do and im goingto guess this is what you are talking about.

They recently kicked some guy off the show who was very religious becasue in an interview they asked him what his opinion on gay marriage was. Due to the fact he is so religious of course he said he doesn't approve. In my eyes although I feel like he is wrong he is entitled to his wrong opinion and should not of been kicked off tv. Hes not going around saying "kill the gays" hes just making a statement that he doesnt agree with it.

Then we have Miley who goes and twerks on tv and smoking and doing tbings she shouldnt on tv...

I agree this is corrupt, but thats life....

I was kind of agreeing with you, up until you said "he is entitled to his wrong opinion" an opinion cannot be wrong, if he feels that gay marriage is wrong thats his opinion, it doesnt make him wrong.

Im not agreeing with the guy I really couldnt care if 2 guys got married or not, doesnt effect me in the slightest

I am against gay marriage, but if someone says they approve, I wont try to get them fired. Besides he said he has never discriminated against them, he just doesn't agree.

He said that sin 'Just doesn't make sense.'
If saying that someone's entire existence is illogical isn't discrimination then I don't know what is.

He was entitled to his opinion, he just made the mistake of thinking that anyone wanted to hear it.

He said it doesn't make sense to him, just because he doesn't understand their belief isn't wrong. He just can't follow their though process on that topic.

Then he should take a leaf out of Bob Dylan's book and not criticize what he doesn't understand.
He likened homosexuality to sleeping with animals and sleeping around, there is a point where saying that you don't agree with something becomes hate speech.
Look at any of the topics that have sprung up lately to do with homosexuality and not one person has said that they think it's disgusting, everyone is hedging, 'I just don't like seeing it in public' 'just don't involve me.'
Those are opinions, those aren't offensive, what he said was.

It's his belief, he should in no way be punished. If people want to be gay then be gay, they shouldn't care what somebody else says, especially when he doesn't discriminate. He just doesn't understand the attraction.

Although I feel like he stated his opinion incorrectly here i agree. Gay people try to say its natural, but it's really not. If people were to split up into Gay and Straight areas with no contact for 100 years, the Straight side would grow, while the other sidewould not, they cant reproduce. If they are unable to reproduce, it's not natural.

Infertile women can't reproduce, does that make them loving someone unnatural?

Why does everyone think it's all about what we do under the covers?
Just because we can't reproduce, that makes the love we feel unnatural? Or not genuine?
Thousands of species of animals show homosexual traits, and how are you defining unnatural?
Surely everything humans do is natural, just like a skyscraper is no more unnatural than an ants nest.

Anyway, since when did 'Unnatural' become an insult, or a drawback?
If somehow it was proven that homosexuality was unnatural, do you really think we would care?
Think we would just turn straight all of a sudden?

When it's a TV personality who can influence the opinion of millions of people, yeah I do care.
I like how you just disregarded half of my last post, he obviously did discriminate, and it was offensive, if he doesn't understand the attraction then he shouldn't comment on it.

Do I think he should have been punished? No.
I think he should have gotten the storm of abuse that he's brought on himself, but I really don't care if he's allowed to duck hunt on TV or not.
