Merry Christmas guys. I hope you all have a great one. Eat loads, drink loads and have a great time. Be with those special to you and make it the best darn Christmas yet. Don't let the grinch, I mean Hippie steal your gifts or TDK your liqueur for that matter. Have a good one guys, stay safe.

I'm gonna de-rail this thread for a moment and take 5 minutes of your lives that you're never going to get back by reading this. Sit back, shut the hell up, and enjoy!

This has been a long year for everyone here! First and foremost, this site is continuing to grow at a rapid pace and it is still by far the best, more diverse, most community influenced gaming community worldwide. We have staff members here who dedicated literally...several hundred hours a year to making sure that this site is up and running and has helped it grow and evolve into what we know TheTechGame as today.

sean, telli and hippie

These three are literally the heart and soul of this site. Without these three, what you see here on this site would not exist. To be honest, the man behind the scenes that has the most thankless job is Telli.

The staff here on this website is second to none. I've been around this world multiple times and have seen and done a lot of things in my short life thus far. Hands down...this group of people here on this staff are some of the best people I've ever had the opportunity to work with.

This community on TTG is also...second to none. The size, diversity, intelligence, broad genres of knowledge...all compiled into once central information sharing hub. That just fascinates me. JTAGs, RGHs, Xbox Repair, HTML, C++, C#, PS4, PC, Vita...you name it, 99.9999% chance there is someone, if not multiple people on this site who are VERY knowledgeable about it and can help someone.

We have grown, changed, adapted and evolved with time into something I'm so very fortunate and proud to say I'm a part of. We have had ups, downs and in-differences. We've had celebrations and we have had heart breaks here. This all brings me to this one very important part:

The holidays are about family...about friends...about being thankful for the blessings that we sometimes take for granted day in and day out. A mother that loves you, a father that loves you, a brother, a sister, an aunt, uncle, cousin, friend, wife...it doesn't matter. Family and friends are what make this world go around and what make each and every single day worth waking up for. Myself, I am married and expecting our first child in the coming months. My wife, parents, grand parents, friends...they are what make my days worth waking up for and getting out of bed. I am glad I get this chance every so often to be reminded about how fortunate I am for them, for my health, for my safety and well being. It's really humbling when you sit back and think about it.

I am just as guilty as any one of you are about things like this. I assume tonight when I wake up my wife will be there, my mom, my dad...but they very well may not be. Recently, this site and a family half way around the world from me lost someone who I guarantee the days leading up to his passing, thought it was just like any other day and they would see him tomorrow, or the day after and so on. This isn't always the case and the game of life we all play daily sometimes takes a turn that we didn't see coming...and if you're not ready for it, it's a really shitty ride.

Take this time to reflect on the year and take just a moment, even if it's just a second, to sit back and think about the blessings we all have. That's what Christmas...and holidays are about. Money, cars, games, clothes and other material possessions do not mean a damn thing if you don't have the ones that mean to most to you by your side, because if you are by yourself at the end of the day...no matter how much you have in the bank...you are poor.

Everyone be safe if you are traveling. Have a Merry Christmas...Happy Holidays...and myself and the rest of this wonderful staff team will look forward to another full year of twists, turns and excitement in 2014!

Unlike the jolly icy tank over here spilling his heart out as a last ditch effort to get some decent presents this christmas, i will keep it short and sweet.

I'm not even going to try to top this, because Icy said it perfectly. Hopefully you all get to spend some time with loved ones this year, because you never know if it will be the last.

Happy holidays everyone (except Casca)
