Why get an Xbox 360 when you can get the Xbox One?

Price is a big difference but the 360 only being supported for roughly 2-3 years.

After the 360 becomes unsupported you could still play games just the servers will slowly start to be taken down for online games. But you could still play solo games and also, people might be able to get their own servers up for the 360 without getting banned so if you're interested in that after the 2-3 years you're good!

I'm sure all 972 games will be unplayable in 2-3 years.

If you get an Xbox 360, buy a cheap used one. The Xbox One is out, and people will be slowly upgrading (it'll take longer than 2-3 years), but at some point, Xbox One will be the console to play on. Either save up and get yourself the Xbox One, or hold out and purchase a cheaper Xbox 360.

No just save up for a next gen

It depends on money.

If you think you or whoever will be buying it has enough for the Xbox One.

If they don't, and you really want a console, get an Xbox 360.

I still use mine, don't worry, they will be good for a good few years yet.

Microsoft said it would be supported for 2-3 more years...and Single Player games will still be playable. It just means games won't be updated anymore or new games won't come out for it anymore. Also servers won't go down after 3 years it all depends on when the companies will shut them down, which could be 4 years. Some people might still see profit in the 360 after 3 years which means they might still release games. I mean think about it, the 360 has been out over 6+ years and people STILL don't have it.
