Synopsis

Battlefield 4 is a sequel to the previous 'Battlefield 3' game (released in 2011).

Battlefield 4 is an FPS and it's campaigns prologue is set in Baku, you play as 'Tombstones' squad member; 'Recker' along side Dunn, Irish and Pac in an attempt to rescue VIP's from Shanghai.

Gameplay

The game had an all round similar feel to the previous Battlefield 3 and Bad Company games allowing you to progress through multiplayer, ranking up and unlocking new guns for the different gun classes; allowing the upper-hand against your enemy. It adopted previous game ideas and had a similar HUD (Heads Up Display) to the other Battlefield games.

Customization was a major part in the Battlefield 4 gameplay, allowing you to add optional attachments to your weapons such as: Scopes, Barrel attachments, grips, and camos.

Graphics

Battlefield 4 was built on the Frostbite 3 engine, allowing beautiful landscapes and amazing textures to be in the game, for example; if it was raining, you'd see the rain drops land on your screen as you looked up, ripples in water. This also created chance to add destructible environments to the game, in the Battlefield 4 Beta level, 'Siege of Shanghai' there is a scripted event which players must activate, allowing a huge enterable skyscraper to get demolished by destroying the pillars supporting the structure. This then created a huge dust environment which impairs visibility and changes the maps objectives.

Multiplayer

The Battlefield 4 Multiplayer had a VERY bad start, it started with the beta which players were not satisfied with the poorly places objects, bad quality textures and poor gun stats. When the full game was released, there were A LOT of bugs; disconnecting players from matches, not allowing them to join, invisible guns, glitching in maps.

However, this was quickly turned around by the future patches, fixing the multiplayer gameplay.

The Battlefield 4 Multiplayer is by far the best and most realistic FPS experience on console to date.

The real-time scripted events allow players to change the map physically (levolution) ie. Destroying buildings, breaking dams, create huge explosion, and collapsing radio towers. This changes the map physically and forces players to switch up their game and play differently.

There are also environmental changes such as on the map 'Paracel Storm', at the start of the map, the islands are tropical and sunny, whilst advancing the game, a huge storm rolls in and creates gusting winds impairing the players vision and creating cover for the enemy. It also blows in a huge ship which crashes into objectives, killing players and changing the gameplay.

Publishers: Microsoft Studios
Age rating: M
Modes: Single-player

Synopsis
Enlist as a Spartan soldier and sharpen your tactical skills in battle. Set between the events of "Halo 3" and "Halo 4," Halo: Spartan Assault, developed by 343 Industries in conjunction with Vanguard Games, is a new chapter within the Halo universe. Spanning over 30 missions in vibrant, dangerous worlds, dive deeper into the backstory of Human-Covenant wars, the origins of the Spartan Ops program, and unravel a chilling mystery in Operation Hydra. Play through the eyes of either Commander Sarah Palmer or Spartan Davis stationed aboard the UNSC Infinity as they fight never-before-seen battles against Covenant forces. You can also join with a fellow Spartan on Xbox Live, in battle against the Flood.

Gameplay
The AI is not impressive. enemies will not alert until you shoot them or get closer. The gameplay of Spartan Assault is still solid. There are some repetitive missions. Mictrotransactions give me a headache in this game. When get a lot of kills your multiplier increases. This game provides simple objectives. The missions in the game is only 5 minutes long. The missions force you to survive. The design of the map cna be clumsy. Camp and just wait for the enemies to appear. The XP you get can be spent and so can real money. You will have to go through a few missions until you can purchase a sniper. Though the game can be completed without spending anything. The only reason to but boosts and assists is to get gold stars.

Graphics
The graphics are really clear. But textures are smaller because it was ported from a mobile version. the environment looks great in HD. Cut scenes are great to look at even thought they are there for a limited amount of time. I did not have any issues with the graphics. So Spartan Assault is established well. The graphics looks just as good as the game expresses. The tablet version definitely has weaker graphics than the console version.

Controls
Controls are simple. Mouse is used for firing and throwing grenades. Space bar is for a melee attack. TO switch equipment you use the shift and control buttons. To go back tot he main menu press Esc. The letter keys are similar to Team Fortress 2. Q, W, E, A ,S ,D are all used for moving, interacting and using your ability. On the tablet it tells you on the screen which button is for which and you will get the hang of it eventually.

Ratings (Personal)
Will give you around 6-10hrs of fun in a straight shot, but there's room for replaying to beat those scores, earn more XP, and grab some ridiculous weapons!

Game play: 7/10
Graphics: 8/10
Controls: 7/10
Overall: 7.5/10
