I thought it was so big because they didn't want a repeat of the RROD problem so there are fans all within the console hats only what I thought im not sure.

its not supposed to be just a gaming console, before the console came out & even after microsoft said that it is based on not just gaming but an all round entertainment system so thats why it doesn,t look sleek or whatever you wanna call the 360 but yeah, hoped this helped

It does look kind of like a VCR I suppose, but regardless of that I really like the design of the Xbox One. I think it looks great, ten times better than the ps4 for sure.
