Basically my idea for an app would be for it to be able to livestream whatever you are doing (for example beating your previous high score on temple run etc)to websites such as Ustream or Twitch etc. How do i get started ?

So you mean basically streaming your iphone screen? that should be possible with some ios development AND web development, it wouldnt be an easy project and you would need twitch to integrate that for you, which i dont see happening.

So overall, if you really want to make that happen you would have to hire a IOS app dev, and a web dev to make you a new streaming site ( not twitch) but this could be costly, or if your planning on doing it all your self then you better start reading books and learning :neo:

Everything that the guy above said. You would also need money, time and a lot of dedication...

Hey great idea, good luck.

For the recording part, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is a open source iOS Screen recorder. Take a look at the source. You could learn a lot from that.

For the streaming part, take a look at Twitch' api's. Or any other live streaming service.

correct me if i am wrong but even if you could get it done, you would need a jailbroken ipod/iphone/ipad because you cant capture the screen of unjailbroken devices, thats why there are no screen recorders in the app store.

Also if you really want to stream iOS, plug device into a monitor/tv with both input and output, then use a capture card.

perhaps create a business proposal and present it in the form of an email to Twitch?

They may perhaps like your idea and buy it off you or agree to work with you on it.

You need a site, money, and a lot of coding.
