They've both been released, so It's kinda late to pre-order my friend. But in my opinion, both consoles are very similar. Xbox One is a gaming console that comes with extra features like entertainment things. Playstation 4 is strictly gaming, and is for people who only care about gaming. If you want a console that is a gaming console, with entertainment mixed into it like TV, and Netflix, and movies and such, get Xbox One. If you only want to game, game, game, get the PS4.
