Yet another comment which is untrue.You can get a good gaming PC for $700 which would beat consoles any day.
OT:Just get what your friends get because it would be a bit boring getting a xbox one and no one having it,and vice versa.

The way i see it is you want to get the stuff you really NEED before choosing a console or whatever.
Things such as a car, or even save that money and put it towards a house in the future (every bit helps!)
It's up to you though! I'd wait a year and the prices of consoles will go down quite a bit.
Or just go out clubbing and get so wasted ;) :pharte:
