When I first started with PC, I knew exactly what I wanted because of past experience on my friends computers, but some have no clue where to start. If this is you, then I am going to list a few games for you that are must buys when starting your PC gaming escapades.

1. Borderlands 1($20 USD) & 2($30 USD)- Great game for someone looking for a fast paced action game with a comical affect and an RPG like style. Oh and free roam.

2. Garry's Mod($10 USD + Extra Fees for Source Games)- This sandbox game is very different from most. The community has shaped new game types inside of the game, and many of the items that have molded the game are user made(besides the items from other source games you have bought). You will need at least one source game. My suggestion would be to buy "The Orange Box" & "Counter Strike: Source" to get the full Garry's Mod single and multi-player experience.

3. Minecraft($27 USD)- Another great sandbox game! This drops you on a random planet where you can build what you want and do what you want. While the blocky textures may get to you, at first, they start to grow on you and in the end you will love them!

4. Fallout 3 & New Vegas- These both will really test the strength of your computer. It comes with a great story and many modding capabilities and overall, an amazing open world with multiple possibilities to choose from.

5. Team Fortress 2(Free)- Wow, what a break. A free game! While this may get repetitive, it's cartoonish art style and Deathmatch gamemodes make it a great game for those who are into it. Also, lots of hats.

User Choice
HIV- Grand Theft Auto Series & The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
TurtleOrgans- Battlefield 3 & 4

All of these(except Minecraft) can be found on Steam's Official Client(Gaming Client) which can be downloaded on the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

For Minecraft, just go to the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Have a game you really think a new PC gamer should get? Post it in the comments and I'll post it in the user choice section!
