rap hasnt changed, people always say "ahhh man i like 90's rap better cause they actually rapped about life and stuff yeeeah"

well guess what hate to break it to you but rap hasnt changed, tupac rapped about the same stuff gucci mane is rapping about. Not that im comparing the two im just saying.

Tupac yes did have some meaningful songs yes, but every rapper has those songs about ice and big booty women and cadilacs and stuff. Now a days with rappers they to have meaningful songs but MOST of them are just masked with the songs that the radio plays. Those are the sons that are now talking about things like instead of "ice" they say "jewelry" or instead of "big booty women" they say "hoes" or instead of "caddys" they say "whips".

If you actually think about it and are really into rap and no more than the average pandora listener does than you should agree. It may not seem true but it is.

Open your eyes people, because I cant stand when people say oh yeah im more of a 90's rap guy when in fact all that has changed is the advancement of technology and beats.

You're blind if you think rap hasn't changed. Lyrically and instrumentally.

nope your argument is faulty.

rap has changed i couldn't help but notice out of all the 1000 + rappers you state them. and and just by the changing of words is a "CHANGE" some older people would rather hear BIG booty women them a trashy word that most older people dont like "Hoes"

and come on are you that naive and cant understand that as society grows old with the new generations pushing in the "change" hits the music industry first.

I understand what you were trying to point out

just think a little more next time

edit really? disliking every comment that doesn't agree with your post just shows the type of self centered person you are that cant take others opinions in to thought wow im happy not everyone is like you

Rappers used to rap about their life and the struggles they faced. Now they just rap about p*ssy, money and drugs.

Not every single rapper does, YONAS and Professor Green dont for example, well Green does a little but not in everyone of his songs and eminem does in 50% of his songs so ur point is invalid
