As long as you want a career in something i.e medical student, yes school is important. If you do not want a career or just doing stuff like working in a cafe or cleaning toilets then no school is not important.

Is that what you personally know for a fact and have seen this exact thing happen before, or is it just what society has told you?

Feels wrote I actually agree.
I think nearly everything that you get taught at school can be self-taught at home on a computer.
In my opinion, the only thing that you need school for (aside from the obvious grades) is to learn social skills.

Well you wouldn't get computers if it wasn't for SCHOOL
You wouldn't get Books if it wasn't for school .-.

School is one of the most important things you can do, if you want to do anything with your life. Not knocking on anyone that made it without school but now a days you almost need it to do anything. Just get through it, its not too hard.

Steve jobs
Richard Branson
Oprah Winfrey
Mark Zuchenburg
Henry Ford
Steven Spielburg
Bill Gates

Not one of them graduated from a higher level institution, would you call all these people uneducated and say that none of these people have done anything with their life?
