I think this should be posted with initial post to forewarn other players that there is a high risk doing this glitch as it does record your car sales.

You back out to single player (Story mode)
Hit start, go to the "Online" tab and select Play GTA Online.
After that it will give you options i.e solo session crew session or invite only.
