I thought police academy was separate from college?

You can just take college online. Its less time and its less work. Im planning on doing that to work and save a little bit of money.

Now you need a certain amount of years of college. Before college wasn't required, you could sign up after high school.

Not necessarily. you can get jobs without a degree. And you don't need to be successful to love life.

Personally is money isn't an issue go to college. Any extra bit of school you have under your belt will get you a better paying job at the end of the day. But for most people college isnt the way to go student loans pile up and you will be paying for the rest of your life. Im learning a trade so you do it as an internship so its free you dont pay but you dont get paid for any work you do. In a few you years you can do the trade yourself. and make like 100k+ a year

Listen, I'm a senior in high school and I'm applying to colleges now, so I have no clue what the hell it's like, I hate school, but I can tell you its better to get some sort of higher education and get a "soft job" instead of being treated like the scum of the earth.

The simple fact that you type coherent sentences tells me you're not an idiot. I know you're lazy, I kinda am too - but you gotta do what you gotta man unless you wanna work along riffraff for the rest of your life.

Go to community college for 2 years and get an associates degree. Talk to them about possibly transferring to a real university after and they will fill you in with what classes you need to take. Then transfer to a university and spend the next 2 years getting a bachelors degree in whatever. Many people do this to save money and because no one knows you went to community college since you get your bachelors from a university just like anyone else.

Seriously, you need to be a total dumb*ss to screw up in community college. It ain't hard.
