Ad I'm wondering for around the same price would a AMD be better for the job.

Next: I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a case which would fit this build.
For around 110Gbp or less.
Because I am not sure if I need a mid or a full tower case.

I've always found Intel to be a lot more reliable than AMD

Very true, but AMD is usually cheaper the Intel for CPU's and Mobo's

So would you buy a AMD for abit cheaper, stick to the i7 or go to the i5 and poss over clock?

As you can see from all of the bench tests. AMD just can't stand up to Intel.

Not to mention the i5-2500k is possibly the best priced processor available today (price vs. performance wise).

The CPU isn't compatible with motherboard, because it isn't coming up on the search..would you reckon the.i5 6470k is just as good?

Guys it seems like you all need to realise that the reason AMD and Intel are different is because they cater to two different audiences. It isn't a case of quality, i've used both brands all my life and neither have had "quality" issues.

Intel processors tend to beat AMD chips in benchmarks, however you have to bear in mind that real world usage may be different and that Intel processors retail higher even though they do the same job.

If you can afford Intel and/or you want to be seen to have quality components then get Intel. If you don't care or want a budget build that does the job, then AMD offers the best price to performance ratio.

So which AMD will do the job? Amd is at good quality. Would you go for the i5 4670k or the i7 which I have? Any cases you recommend which look mint for around 120gbp or less @buxty

If you want one just for gaming then the FX8320 is at a good price. i5 for gaming, i7 for editing.
