I finally came up with... a vacuum. But after thinking about it. It can't be really.
That would mean certain pockets which you wouldn't be able to breathe in, sound would be lost etc.
I remember this from a while ago, someone said anti-matter, but what is anti-matter?
I'm really lost on this one, any thoughts?

Anti-matter is still a theoretical substance, as we have no way to contain it. Some believe it to be a pure source of unlimited clean energy. However, how do you contain something entirely intangible? The moment matter occupies said space, anti-matter is no longer present.

According to Van Der Waal's force, the space between molecules is just that, empty space. External forces exerted on the molecules can not effect said molecules. If the molecules get too close together, the electrical force becomes repulsive and pushes them apart. However, if the molecules get too far apart, the electrical force becomes attractive and draws them back together. At a certain distance between molecules, the exerted force is null/zero. This is the intermolecular "resting place" that preserves the empty space between molecules. A space necessary for a gas state.

Awesome post, but looking at your username I wouldn't think you'd be so intelligent.

Don't judge a book by it's cover eh? But yeah I thought the same thing.

And to David~ Awesome post, thanks for clearing that up.

Come now, friend. Never judge a book by it's cover. Remember, as Shakespeare said, "Whats in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

Listen here boy

ANTI-MATTER IS THE OPPOSITE CHARGE OF NORMAL MATTER.

The anti particle of an electron is a positron, NO DIFFERENCE, but the positron has opposite charge to an electron. ANTI MATTER ISN'T SOME KIND OF CONSPIRACY WITH OPPOSITE WORLDS, it's just oppositely charged matter.

Anti matter is contained within magnetic fields in special containers, it's the most expensive substance and would cost trillions to produce a gram. We can produce a few atoms though.

Secondly boy,
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS NOTHING, IN BETWEEN THE PARTICLES WHERE YOU'D THINK NOTHING WOULD BE, there are 'VIRTUAL PARTICLES' which randomly pop in and out of existence, read up on quantum physics

First of all, stop shouting. I never said that Anti-matter was some magical substance, I just said I remembered someone saying that that was what was in-between particles.

Also, don't talk down to me.

Not everyone has a Masters in Quantum Physics you know, that is why at low level science you are taught that the atom is the smallest possible thing, as you progress you learn about neutrons, electrons and protons and eventually theories such as the string theory. So for me and any others who have not studied Quantum Physics in any way, the answer would be that nothing is in between. Yes, this is a lie such as the atom being the smallest thing, but it is the stage some people are at so for their level it is the truth.

Its prolly the atoms that hold those
Gas particles together or u gotta think
Cuz its a gas like oxygen or helium not gas
Like liquid Gas and stuff then yea I forget what those atoms are called
When its compressed its just h2 or O2 but when released
Into the air its other elements that are in between those
Empty Spaces like natural elements that are in everyday life

I would just say free floating ions and smaller subatomic particles. The electrons also have to be there.
