I don't know your past? but whatever it is think long and hard because every time you look at that tattoo it will bring back all those memories and you don't want to be upsetting yourself again!

Why you ask us what tattoo of your past. We don't know you pass. But get something that can tell a story, if it can't, you don't need it.

What's in your past? If you're religious, bible verses about staying strong. Quotes about being tough and stuff.

well that would depend on what has actually happened but just think hard. is there anything/word in particular that triggers those memories.

If you want a tattoo with a lot of meaning, the only person that can really decide what symbol shows what you've been through is yourself. A tattoo is meant to be a commitment for the rest of your life and it should be something that comes to your head when the time is right and not something that u came up with when u were in your room brainstorming tattoos. My friend had this problem for months and couldn't find anything that he really loved until he went to a camp in north Georgia where he found an Indian symbol for forgiveness and humbleness.
