Can you give more details? Because everything sounds right. You have matching title updates and you put the .dll file in Xex Menu 1.1. I don't see a problem.

Good idea. OP: Make sure you have one and try booting with that instead of default.xex

I see some possible other issues:
-Could have incorrectly added the title update
-Could be a GOD (but unlikely because he mentioned Xex Menu)

Also, don't do system link hosting. There is so much other potential for modded consoles. :facepalm:

OK so first i installed xex menu works fine then I was told need to make a file called games then in that a cod 4 file did that then i installed game then i put tangyz patch in loaded up my MP.xex and it did not work i tried this with several patches still nothing so my friend sent me a TU but i dont think its the rite 1 cuz tried a patch and nothin so mmmmm im confused it thin i need tu 4 and he gave me tu 1.0 so maby that y so could some 1 link me to tu 1.4 to try other ways im done :'(
