So I really would like a gaming pc but I cannot afford one with my low budget. I had an idea and I'm not sure if it would work out or not. But could I just buy an average desktop pc and then upgrade the RAM and Graphics card? Would that be cheaper and would it work?

It depends on what processor you already have, also you'd need to buy a new PSU so that you can power your new components. The new gpu you buy would have to fit into your case.

You technically "could" do so, but then you have to take into consideration that most Graphics cards don't fit in lets say a stock Hewlett Packard computer case. So overtime you would have to replace almost every part xD

But it is possible, you just HAVE to make sure that you get everything matching dimension wise while also making sure the components match up with eachother.
