You could, boot it without the HDD, plug it in to router, or use WIFI, get IP, plug the HDD back in, and Boot into XELL, then FTP and delete the files. Then turn off and it should boot like its new.

this might sound stupid but.. doesn't the Jtag have a ready set IP in The XEX menu. if so i can't get in to xex menu without the HDD

Put XEX menu on CD, and boot the CD. Then use LB/RB to get the IP.

i had the same problem. i tried what you were thinking but it does not work. you have to set some plugins on dashlaunch for SDK to connect and look like this [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

no didnt work i got connect to FTP without HDD in, but once i put HDD in it just won't connect to the ip

EDIT****: only works if in the XEX menu

lol, just boot up and click eject straight away, it does work..
