I'm looking for an Audio Recorder besides the built-in camera Microphone on my 600D which isn't the best, I have been looking at the Tascam DR-40 and it looks good, what I was wondering is can It record audio straight on to the SD card through the External Mic jack on the side of the Camera or does it have to be synced up later through a Video editing software? And what are your opinions on this combo of Mic/Camera?
