According to Einstein, time travel into the future is possible. But it can only be achieved if we have a ship that can go 99% the speed of light. Biological and Chemical processes are slowed when traveling at or near the speed of light. If you could travel faster than the speed of light, then you could possibly - with the help of an incredibly powerful telescope, you might be able to see dinosaurs. But, this would require you to travel at least 65 million light years away in a reasonable amount of time. It would require technology so advanced that our minds can't even imagine it. But here's how it would be done. If you traveled away from the Earth at twice the speed of light for 1 year, you would be 2 lightyears away from the Earth. If you could somehow see the Earth, the year would still be 2012, because the events that have happened on Earth in the time after can't be seen yet because the light hasn't traveled to the place where you are in the universe. Understand what I'm saying? This whole concept confused me as well. But traveling into the future would be much easier. According to Einstein's space relativity theory, (whatever it's called) you could travel at the speed of light to the star Vega, 25 lightyears away, and spend only 4 years in your time to travel there. Travel back, you age 4 more years but Earth has gained 50, and the year is 2063. This is because time can be stretched or shrunk by motion because time IS motion. The only reason we have time is because of light. Light has to be present for us to see time. If there is no light, there is no time. The only reason we can see things is because of light itself. If you go outside and sprint for 100 meters, every thing looks blury as long as you are sprinting. That's because the things you are seeing aren't appearing fast enough for you to see them entirely, and you are also traveling in time by quadrillionths of a second. For that 12-13 seconds you were sprinting, your body was aging slower than everyone elses. The difference is so little though that it's not noticable. Travel at the speed of light and it's obvious.

So, do you ever think we will find a way to travel in time? Is Einstein's theory a hoax?

I believe we will achieve time travel but not for thousands of years.

And that's implying that we will exist for another 1000 years.

Yes I do believe that time travel will be achieved but not for awhile. I mean just think of all the stuff in the universe that we still haven't discovered yet. That will take us thousands and thousands of years just to get the foundation of what the universe is like and how big it is. So we still have a while before time travel but just the thought of this is a very cool thing.

I don't think we will be able to time travel in this millennium, who knows ? But At the state of the world right now I don't think anybody will see a 4th millennium..

If time travel was possible, could someone in the future travel back in time to for example, to tell us of something that will wipe out the human race?

I think it will be possible some day, but not in our lifetime.

We can never go back in time but traveling to the future is a huge possibility. Time slows down if we can travel at a fast enough speed, but it keeps the same speed for all others. If you fly the speed of light for 20 minutes you will have experienced 20 minutes. All others will have experienced maybe 3 months.

I think time travel is possible, but won't be achieved for many years to come.

Now, you say that the events after that haven't happened because the light hasn't travelled there yet. But do we actually need light for events in time to happen? Because all light is is, well light. If there is no light (A pitch black room for example) things can still happen. So how does your/Einstein's theory correct about that part?

But the whole post is very interesting. I mean, I doubt that we will ever, ever travel anywhere near the speed of light! I mean, think about it. Imagine travelling at 299 792 458 M/S! That's 670618296 MPH! We would probably die due to the immense amount of G-force on us!
