just wondering if theres away to hack or cheat in a game with out a rooted android, just for things like more coins in a game and things like that?

or do i need to be rooted? if so where do i start?

Not being rooted, the only games you can modify are the ones that save in Android/Data/com.GameYouWantToMod.
Use an SD Card Explorer to find that location.
