I am most likely to buy a ps3 after the the ps4 is released or if I decide to buy it when I get paid, just asking what to expect?
I have a Xbox 360 and I usually only play Forza 4, MW3 and COD4 although my brother has stacks of other games. But yeah my question still stands what should I expect?

Most things are the same, except the fact that it's a LOT harder to get banned than it is on Xbox Live.
Also, I don't know about Xbox's situation, but recently I've been noticing a lot less hackers on CoD4 than there used to be a year or two ago!

I recently switched to PS3 from Xbox because I'm getting the PS4 and not the Xbone.
The PS3 IMO is A LOT better than Xbox for the games if you are planning on buying exclusives and other third-party games
The controller is what many people dislike about the PS3 but after about 10 minutes or so of gameplay I got used to it!
PSN is not as good as Xbox Live though... You can't cross game chat (Party Chat) which is a big downer for me
Playstation+ is not required which is a plus but I would reccomend buying it as the free games and discounts are well worth the money!
If you buy a game from the PS Store than expect to be waiting some hours before you get to play the game...! The game has to download and after it is finished downloading unlike Xbox it install the game after the download instead of downloading and installing all in one go which takes up some time.
Other than that I would highly suggest you get a PS3 if you are planning on getting a PS4
