So I have a video of a sphere sort of thing where the sphere opens up and gets bigger. I'm trying to figure out how to sync the video with a song so that as the audio levels go up and down the sphere gets bigger and smaller. So when the audio levels are at 0 then the sphere video is at 0:00 and when the audio levels are 100 then the video is at the end where the sphere is all the way open. I'm using after effects for this. Some one please help me out.

It's basically the same making trapcode form react to audio except my video clip is a few seconds long but trapcode form would be a constant object reacting to the audio throughout the entire composition.

You should be able to put an mp3 file in the audio section of your editing program, play the mp3 file on your editing program until you find the spot in the song you want the video to start at. After that, all you have to do is trim the mp3 file down to the certain point you want the music to start at. then just trim the rest of the song to the end of the edited video.

The video of the sphere will have to be relative to the song you're syncing it up with. No song has the same beat and melody. If you do that, the syncing is easy.

no problem man

I use synchronizer sometimes when I can't get my head around Expressions or Pick-whipping

An example of me using expressions:

in this I synced flashed to the music...

And me using synchronizer for scale:

syncing the scale using expressions just wasn't working for me so I got that plug-in (synchro V3) and I used it and it turned out exactly the same enjoy man

I dont know if I just cant understand this or what. This is the video I'm trying to sync with the audio levels of a song:
I'm not sure how to take a clip of the sphere opening up, use it as a constant object through out the length of an entire song and have the size of the sphere synchronized with the levels of the audio.

I get how I would do it if I had an object created within after effects because then I could use the audio levels as a guide for the size of the sphere, but with a video clip I cant change the size of the sphere because its not an object with a certain number that manipulates the size.
