I simply have a longer history with Xbox and I trust that they will execute the next generation of consoles correctly. Also, based on what I have heard about the Xbox one's specs I think the Xbox one will be the better console anyways.

Why I'm not choosing the PS4 is I simply don't know enough about it, they have a bad history when it comes to security, and I don't like their controllers.

Which are you getting?

These are all valid reasons into choosing one over the other. People I know say "PS4 Because Xbox One is ****" and vice versa.

I'm going to give you rep for your answer, because I feel that your arguments are more valid and have better reasoning than most others.

The only thing stopping me from getting it is the price
and having to re-buy all my games because its not backward compatible

Actually the PS4 is supposed to have ddr5 ram, while the Xbox One has ddr3. Im not sure exactly what the difference is but according to Tmartn, ddr5 is better on the graphics side but it is more laggy. And ddr3 is not as good on the graphics side but isnt laggy. But I agree I will be getting the Xbox One.

The way xbox compensates for the having ddr3 instead of drr5 is by having 32mb of ERAM. The memory is practically the same and you wont be able to tell a difference.
