How To:

*This is incase you forget your email and account name. It saves you going through the support and sending emails.*
*This wont work if you have reinstalled your OS/havn't backed up your files on your PC.*



1) Navigate through this path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata

Now in the userdata.. depending on how many profiles you have, there will be folders with numbers such as 123456789 for example.

2) Click the numbered folder
3) Go to config
4) Right click "localconfig" and click "Open With... Notepad"..
5) Press Ctrl+F and type "PersonaName" (without quotations).

To the right of that should be your steam name and there you go.

If you have more that 1 account, youll have to go through all the localconfigs to find your name.

Haha.. yeah I literally just lost my account name and email.. so I thought id dig through the steam files.
