No you do not, However you do need a CFG infection but this forum is filled with people hosting them

Clearly no one is actually telling you what to do....First download Zinqs CFG once you have done that put the buttons_default on the root of your sub then eject your sub from your computer. Start your ps3 up and put the usb the RIGHT slot of your ps3 or it won't work. Go on mw2 and goto multiplayer then find someone who is hosting.Once you have back out the hosters lobby and goto to splitscreen.then load or create a new account on the splitscreen.once you have done that click game set up and turn psn unlocks ON then start the game.once the game has started pick your class then press select and up on the d pad l. The menu should then come up. End the game goto private match and start it. Once it has started press select and d pad up again. Enjoy Btw if you have downloaded mw2 from the psn store CFG's won't work but infections. Will
