jsl wrote since i have done astronomy, i think that our galaxy (The Milky Way) and the Andromeda Galaxy will collide and create a new galaxy, causing all types of life to be wiped from both galaxies if there was anymore out there but that would take millions and millions of years :}, but thats just me :p

To give you further details in what you are explaining, The Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxies will collide in approximately 4 billion years.

However it is debatable as to what the repercussions of this will be. You see, it is actually unlikely that no one star will collide with another during this galactic collision. Even though there are roughly 1 trillion stars in the Andromeda Galaxy, and around, I think, 300 billion stars in the Milky Way Galaxy, the chance of even one collision between stars is extremely unlikely, because of how big the distances are between each individual star.

As for the fate of our solar system, I believe there is around a 10% chance that our Solar System will be ejected from the newly formed Galaxy, however this would have no adverse effects on our Solar System, and the chance of any sort of adverse effect would also appear to be negligible.

As a point of potential interest, the two galaxies will merge, oscillate around a centre point, and then, after a given period, form one single elliptical galaxy, according to simulations.

The whole idea of running out of fossil fuels and massive natural disasters is very possible but the only way i would like the world or human race to end is by a Zombie apocalypse.
Just think how awesome that would be... But at the same time it would be scary as fark.

well none of us on here are going to make it to the "end of the world" we're all going to die of natural causes way before the end.

The world will end when I guess the sun engulfs us or a neutron star collides with us or a black hole mysteriously eats us idk. Just small thoughts or the world could end by man made biohazards global nuclear warfare or what Christians think the rapture.
No one will never know how or when the world will
end it is a devine mystery to be found out only when it happens
