I've whatched all the YouTube videos and I just can't seem to flick my board the right way. Anybody have any suggestions? I just started skating btw. Most videos said you need to have your Ollie atleast 4 inches off the ground and I can do that so yeah.

Make sure you put your front foot at an angle under the bolts, back foot on the tail almost on the edge. Pop, then flick your ankle at the corner of the board. Make sure you keep your body straight or else your board will go at another direction. Hope i helped.

Focus more on the ollie part than the kickflip part. Make sure to snap the tail, and slide your foot exactly like an ollie, then flick your foot off of the corner of the nose right as you jump. I learned them on a trampoline at first, really helped, you might want to try it.

I've tried that alot idk maybe it's just because I just started skating but the trampoline is a good idea. Ill keep trying. See what I do is I set up like an Ollie then whe I flick up I flick in an angle and my board still doesn't flip.

You should look up, some People teaching it on Youtube, other than that, just look at how people flip it, where the angle is of their feet and just FLIP AWAY, I got to do mine, just by the feel of it. GOOD LUCK

If you are able to post a video I might be able to tell you what you are doing wrong.

This is how I learned. Also I have not skated in years.

Anyways, start off ollie-ing in the grass. After you do that about a good 40 times and you have it down perfect, you can start by putting your back wheels it a deep crack of the cement and do another 40 ollies. Once you are confident enough, just do an ollie and slide your left foot to the upper left corner of the board. You can go back to grass for this. Try it many many times.

All you need to do is practice, it may take you about a week to get it down. Then move on to pavement, after about another 1-2 weeks start trying to ollie off a curb or over an object, ( I used to do it over PVC pipe when I started out) I hope this helps, all it takes is practice. If you need to, try practicing on a different size board.

EDIT: It takes good confidence to get a trick down, don't stop just because you aren't landing a trick. When I was growing up, I was known in my area for being able to kickflip the fastest but I could never land them. Now after years of practice, and a little rage, I am a lot better than when I startes. Only because I didn't give up.

i recommend to keep practicing that ollie if you're just started skating .
But how to kickflip:
When you pop and slide your foot up , make sure you jump towards the nose of the board and jump high. Thats how i learned kick flips
