Right off the bat , I just want to say I'm not trying to start a console war here. I just want to see your opinions.

I'm not going to pretend I know much about hardware or software , I'd be a novice at best , I'd know what to do fix casual problems but nothing more. I'm going to be buying one of the new consoles , I just don't know which one. So I'm hoping for help from the members off TTG that know more than me.

I'm going to be using whatever console I get for gaming , nothing more. I don't care about any of the extra features like Netflix or Skype. Because I live in Ireland I doubt half of the extra features will be available for me anyway. So I'm wondering , which console (based one what we know now) will be better for just gaming (graphics and performance wise).

Hopefully , this thread will help me , and anyone else currently on the fence about what console to buy when they are released. I'll +Rep anyone whose reply genuinely helps me out in my decision.

Well depends on what you like, it all boils down to it. Another thing I look at is whatever console most of your friends are getting as well, because what if your friends all get an X1 and you get a PS4 and are stuck playing by yourself? It could be a better console, but I'll take a console friends will enjoy with me over one that I'd have to play myself.

I'm buying both but to make this short, we can't really fully decide until E3. Microsoft already started busting some rumors and releasing some info which is nice, but nothing will be 100% solid until E3. So might be better to ask this again by then.

I think overall the PS4 will be better for Gaming (not 100 percent sure). But im only saying that for the performace. For the actual games, On the Xbox One there are like 14 new exclusive to xbox games coming out and we still get dlc early and you get extra's online with certain games a good example if your a football guy is Fifa..At the Xbox One reveal the EA guy said xbox get more content online for example fifa ultimate team.

But personally im going to get the Xbox One cause it will still be great for gaming there will hardly be a difference I bet between the consoles performance wise. Also with the Xbox One there are loads of cool extra features with the live Tv and stuff and recording device built in. But your not really interested in that lol.

Hope I helped.
