I'm not loaded with money but i do want a nice computer and im willing to pay up for it. I want one that will last a while so i can just pay once for the right stuff. I dont know what any of the specs mean, and what to look for and what not to look for, and which brands are reliable or not. I will mainly be using this as a gaming computer, and i might record, but for now im just looking for a nice reliable gaming PC. Any hints, tips, pointers w/e are appreciated. Thanks

Building it yourself is the most cost effective thing you can do, and you can build a computer more powerful than a prebuilt with less money.

Is it difficult to make your own pc? My parents are computer disabled and they dont know shit. I'm afraid of getting things for a pc to build and messing it up because i dont know what im doing. Like i said im willing to spend alot but i just want to spend it once on the right stuff. I just want a good computer whether its prebuilt or not, unless building one if pretty difficult..

Building your own PC is not difficult at all. There's tons of tutorials on Youtube to help get you started.

It all depends on what you plan to be playing and doing on the daily basis. There's also a ridiculous amount of combinations of parts for building a PC and they only keep getting better...But for a rough estimate of what a good Gaming PC should have:

Good Motherboard
8-16gb RAM
Nvidia Graphics card
I prefer Intel processors over AMD any day

My specs (super budget)
8gb ram ddr3
Amd-Fx 4100 quad core 3.6hz
ATI 6770 2gb ddr3
these aren't top of the line specs, infact I managed to get it all off of ebay for around 350.

The PC handles really well - on pretty much all games - for example, MW3 pc = top settings, around 60fps. Far Cry 3 - extreme settings - 20-30fps

You could also go with AMD for a graphics card. They're just as good as Nvidia.

It's not hard, but I'm not saying it'll be a cake walk. Building a computer is something that you should devote days of research to, to make sure you are comfortable with the components and how things are installed. If you want to spend a lot, then spend a lot on the components, you could build a powerhouse. I recommend you do some very thorough research on building a PC. It's overwhelming at first, but if you take it slow, task by task, it's not so bad.
