English Defence League supporters took to the streets of Woolwich and threw missiles at police after the suspected terrorist killing earlier in the day.
Elsewhere, two men were arrested following separate attacks on mosques.
In Woolwich, a group of between 75 and 100 men gathered at The Queen's Arms pub on Burrage Grove, where they sang nationalist songs.
Sky News correspondent Alistair Bunkall, said: "A few missiles have been thrown, glass bottles and the like. The police have been trying to surround them and charging them as well with batons."
Earlier, two men were arrested following separate attacks on mosques in the hours following the suspected terrorist incident in southeast London.
A 43-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of attempted arson after reportedly walking into a mosque with a knife in Braintree, Essex.

Personally i wish the EDL Burnt down all the mosques

I strongly disagree with that last sentence.
The same thing happened after 9/11.
If you want this type of stuff to stop then the Government needs to end the war on terror.
Stop blocking injections with the cure for yellow fever from getting to Iraq.
Burning down all the Mosques will solve nothing, and is just plain moronic.

Don't see why you want them out of the country, anyone can kill anyone people just tend to blame things on religion a lot of the time, and to be fair that person who was AFRICAN that killed the soldier deserves to be shot.
What would people achieve off burning mosques down man, our society is ruined, there is a fine line between being patriotic and racist.

sounds abit racist , not ALL muslims are extremeist , one of my firneds is muslim , yet he is white and has a full white family and his father fought for Britain even though he is muslim , should they be kicked out ? if u say yes then u are clearly racist

I agree with what you say, when ever something happens the media always find a way to blame it on religion, and the only Muslims that should get out our country are the ones that are extremists, but like I said to my friend no one would care if it was a white Christian that killed the soldier, and for all the EDL followers yous are all uneducated ignorant fools, you do realize if we get rid of Muslims and Foreigners there will be hardly any chip shops and off licences (No Racism Intended).

The last sentence is a tab extreme, however if this happened on their home turf and the thought of burning down churches came to mind, what do you think would happen?
We are being overrun, we as british citizens have less rights than those who immigrated here. Why can we not be like our other soverign states, such as Australia, where the policy is "Your not coming in unless you have something useful to offer the country".
There is nothing racist / wrong / unfair about that policy in my opinion.
