I turn on my PC and it loads normally until after the windows logo (I have windows 7 home premium) and then it goes a black screen and it only shoes the mouse in the middle of the screen anyone know how to fix, I put my windows disk in and tried to do a system restore but there is no restore points... + 50 REP To who answers..

Use the windows installtion disc to open a command line and run sfc /scannow

Well there will be no restore points unless you have done a restore previously , However I can only recommend that you attempt to boot into safe mode if no success then you will have to reinstall the os and lose all your data best I can do with out seeing the situation myself.

It scans the Windows files and verifies the integrity of those. A corrupt startup file may be to blame for the failure to boot.
However my system experienced the same problem when i plugged an external drive into a faulty eSATA port in my case.

When it detects a repair, it usually takes a couple of reboots as it cannot repair files while the system is trying to use them and it copies a new version from the disc.

Reboot and type it in again. It will attempt to scan.

Press Control+alt+delete and open task manager then click new task and type explorer.exe and it will start up as regular i also have this problem
