Just be lucky you actually get a chance to have a career someday in something and get a education. Some kids don't have that chance.

It's not US education... It's your specific school. Some schools don't have good teachers. I know I am upset with my school, because in missuri my friend was doing the same things in 8th grade as I am in my junior year of high school. Although my school is an "excellent" school based on standardize testing scores, I still feel ripped off.

When I complain about our education I don't complain about the amount of time we spend in school because I think that it's fair. I usually complain about the pointless topics we cover and things we learn like nominative objects and all that grammar crap they force feed you in English class.

Actually , English / Grammar curriculum is necessary in schools.
You need to learn how to speak your language properly.
But , most of the math in schools today is pointless & stupid.
All you need in life is the basics of math not all that other crap.

That's why I switched to private schools. You actually learn, you're challenged, they have better ways of teaching than assigning 6 hours of homework and the best of it all there are no political believes forced down your throat... well at my school at least. This is my 1st year at private schools and I've been so much more successful which will actually help me get in a good college and succeed in life.

private schools have small classrooms so you get hand to hand experience with the teacher that why its more challenging because your able to catch up quickly in a class of 15 not 30.

False for programming career you need to know algebra and some colleges require you to know up to Calculus 4 but how about construction, finance, learning about stocks thats not all simple math.

I don't like it neither especially for the fact that you only get 50 minutes usually in each period and then during that time usually the teacher is like "Okay get your books out we'll be doing this" then they're like "one moment" go and check their emails or some shit, and all this other crap and then there's like 10 minutes left in class or a little longer then it's already over and you didn't really learn shit all? I know there isn't a lot of teachers to be hands on with a single student so they can learn but trying to teach a whole class with probably 35-40% of them not necessarily following along is just ridiculous, then the kids are put to blame even though they may have a learning problem or just a hard time following along. Lessons in a class/units go by too quick.
