Holy cow, $600 in birthday money? Last year I got a shirt and flip flops for my birthday. Anyway, I would suggest you get a HD PVR and a snowball, maybe you can start commentating and make some money off of youtube. ;)

Dont go for short term happiness, go for long term.
If it means putting money towards buying your first car or even money on a holiday ect...
Dont buy xbox, ps3 ect... because they wont make you as happy as you would be with the car or holiday.

I've just bought a samsung chromebook - amazing. Built like a mac, fraction of the price and does everything I use a laptop for. Super quick and really nice to use.
Highly recommend it if you want a super portable laptop.
Get some really nice headphones?
I've got a pair of Custom One Pros which are simply amazing for the type of music I listen to (electronic, house, trap, hip hop, grime - basically anything bass heavy. BUT they're awesome for all the standard music - super clear and vocals sound amazing. Don't get me started on Piano...
If I had 600 quid now, I'd probably get some upgrades for my computer, either get a 7950 or crossfire 7850.
I like music, and I spend the majority of my money on Music, well any spare money that is - need to feed myself first. Sometimes....
